ABOUT STEPHANIE

Stephanie Moon Reynolds is a lifelong Roanoker whose life has been defined by public service, community leadership, and a deep love for the city she proudly calls home.

A graduate of Roanoke City Public Schools and Virginia Western Community College, Stephanie dedicated nearly five decades to serving the citizens of Roanoke. She began her municipal career in the Office of the City Clerk and, in 2007, was appointed as Roanoke's first African American City Clerk. Throughout her career, she worked alongside generations of elected officials, helping ensure transparent, effective, and accountable local government. She retired as City Clerk in 2019 after an accomplished career of public service.

Stephanie's commitment to Roanoke did not end with retirement. In 2020, she was elected to Roanoke City Council, where she served a four-year term focused on responsive government, fiscal responsibility, neighborhood investment, and economic growth. Her experience in both municipal administration and elected office gives her a unique understanding of how local government works—and how it can work better for the people it serves.

Beyond City Hall, Stephanie has devoted her life to strengthening the community through volunteer service. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards and civic organizations, mentoring young people, supporting families, advocating for those experiencing homelessness, and helping connect residents with opportunities to succeed. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of The Salvation Army's Local Advisory Board and remains actively involved in organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life throughout the Roanoke Valley.

Stephanie believes the best government begins by listening. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for bringing people together, encouraging thoughtful dialogue, and finding practical solutions through collaboration and accountability.

Her campaign is guided by two priorities: Neighborhood Investment and Economic Growth. She believes strong neighborhoods attract investment, and sustainable economic growth creates stronger neighborhoods. By working alongside residents, businesses, neighborhood leaders, and community partners, Stephanie is committed to building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Roanoke.

Stephanie is married to Earl Reynolds, Jr. Together, they are proud parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Their faith and commitment to service continue to shape their dedication to the community they have always called home.

For Stephanie, public service has never been about politics. It has always been about people. She believes every resident deserves to be heard, every neighborhood deserves to thrive, and every decision should reflect integrity, accountability, and a commitment to leaving Roanoke stronger for future generations.
