Community Outreach & Collaboration

Strong communities are built when people work together. Throughout my career in public service, I have learned that the best solutions come from listening to residents, building relationships, and bringing people together around a common purpose.

Community outreach must go beyond City Hall. It requires meeting people where they are—in neighborhoods, schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations. Every resident deserves the opportunity to be heard and to have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect their quality of life.

I believe collaboration is one of the most effective tools for addressing the challenges facing Roanoke. By strengthening partnerships among residents, neighborhood organizations, nonprofits, businesses, educational institutions, and local government, we can develop practical solutions that reflect the needs of our community.

Technology can help expand engagement, but nothing replaces personal connections. Whether through community meetings, neighborhood conversations, volunteer service, or civic engagement opportunities, we must continue creating ways for residents to participate in shaping Roanoke's future.
